A global biennial forum on disaster risk reduction in Sendai: Open to all citizens and specialists - the .

Sendai is a city that experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011. This city is where the global framework for disaster risk reduction, Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (SFDRR), was adopted as the outcome of the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

This is why we started the World Bosai Forum in Sendai. Our vision is to offer a platform for worldwide stakeholders from various sectors to propose, discuss, and share disaster risk reduction strategies.

Our mission is to "end the misery of people suffering from disasters."
